#33 JR | Street Artist

JR, born in France, now is one of the most influential street artists on the world.

Most of his works use huge prints of portraits, talk about identity. His work spread worldwide. For one of my favorite projects, Inside Out, he said, "I wish for you to stand up for what you care about by participating in a global art project, and together we'll turn the world...INSIDE OUT." I actually also went to this project in Shanghai two years ago. He put a truck on street, you go into a photo booth inside this truck,  and a huge print of your photo will come out from the truck, like a large version of polaroid. Each photo will be sticked onto the ground, so that they can be seen by everyone passing by.

Through his work, each person gets the chance to come out and make a statement. You can feel the strength of human rights in his work, everyone deserves equal rights to speak out. When i was participating in the project, at first i just think the idea of making a truck into a instant camera is super awesome. But then when i got my large print and also stick onto the ground with other prints, the power of yourself got amplified more than ever.
